What are the technical and acoustic features of the 11 Note Tongue Drum?

  • The sound is crystal clear, with a long and enveloping sustain (the resonance duration of the sound), perfect for relaxation. The 11 note configuration uses a universal and intuitive numbering system (called Jianpu) engraved or glued onto this musical instrument:

  • The Note Scale (D Major Scale): The numbers go from 1 to 7 and adapt to the key of the instrument. For this model in D, the correspondence is as follows: 1 = D, 2 = E, 3 = F#, 4 = G, 5 = A, 6 = B, 7 = C#.

  • The Middle Notes: A number without a dot corresponds to the middle octave.

  • The High Notes: A number with a dot above corresponds to the upper octave.

  • The Low Notes: A number with a dot below corresponds to the lower octave.
